Honest comparison
Looking at a Meeting Owl? Read this first.
The Meeting Owl is a good product — and for many small rooms it's more device than the problem needs. If your problem is audio — remote people can't hear the room — the phones on the table can solve it for a fraction of the price.
The exact setup
- Install Muxvox Desktop on the Mac that joins the call, and click “Install audio driver” when it offers (one password prompt).
- Everyone in the room installs the free Muxvox app and taps the room's name — the host approves each phone once.
- In your meeting app's audio settings, pick Muxvox Microphone as the microphone and Muxvox Speaker as the speaker.
That's all of it. The meeting still shows one participant for the room; each person just has a microphone within arm's reach. Audio stays on your Wi-Fi, encrypted — details in the security overview.
